The mission of DMGMA is to:

Promote the professional development of practice managers
through educational programs

Provide an organizational structure which promotes
networking and peer interaction

Inform members about legislation that impacts medical
practices
our history
The early 90's were a period of enormous change in healthcare in
Delaware. A handful of practice managers began to meet informally in
response to the turmoil that was occurring. They exchanged ideas,
broadened their knowledge base and tried to find ways to more effectively manage
their way through the storm. These informal gatherings were so popular
that as more and more managers wanted to join, the idea of DMGMA was born.
DMGMA was officially founded in 1993 as a state chapter of the
national Medical Group Management Association
(MGMA). DMGMA is the only organization in Delaware dedicated to the
professional development of practice managers.
Today, DMGMA has grown to 224 members representing 350
physicians. Several of the original 16 founding Board
Members are still active on the Board.
